Sea Air Space Ingalls Shipbuilding Update on CAVASSHIPS Podcast

Ingalls Shipbuilding President Kari Wilkinson recently joined Chris Cavas and Chris Servello for a special edition of the CavasShips Podcast in conjunction with the Navy League’s Sea-Air-Space Global Maritime Exposition.
Wilkinson highlighted the latest accomplishments at Ingalls, many of the upcoming milestones, and the focus of the shipyard. She said her team is focused on people and performance, with a laser focus on execution of contracts and making sure shipbuilders have what they need.
As part of the discussion Wilkinson addressed a number of key issues the Cavas podcast team were interested in, such as shipyard capacity, hiring trends, amphibious and destroyer shipbuilding production to include risk reduction that transpired during transitioning to new flights, management of workload, plus future work opportunities for the yard.
