Executive Vice President and President, Newport News Shipbuilding

Kari Wilkinson is executive vice president of HII and president of the Newport News Shipbuilding division in Newport News, Virginia. Named to this position in 2025, Wilkinson has the responsibility to lead, enable and support the more than 26,000 shipbuilders who design, build and maintain nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and nuclear-powered submarines. Newport News Shipbuilding has built and maintained ships for 140 years and is the largest industrial employer in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
