Adm. Craig S. Faller (U.S. Navy, Ret.) is a corporate director, advisor and consultant. He served for more than 30 years in the U.S. Navy, retiring in 2021 as commander of the U.S. Southern Command.
He previously served as the senior military assistant to the Secretary of Defense and chief of legislative affairs for the U.S. Navy.
At sea, Faller served as commanding officer of USS Stethem (DDG 63) and USS Shiloh (CG 67) and as commander of John C. Stennis Strike Group/Carrier Strike Group 3. Ashore, he served as commander of the Navy Recruiting Command and director of operations for the U.S. Central Command.
In business, Faller serves on the board of directors of Viken Detection; as the advisory boards of Sigma Defense Systems, PayCargo and Excelerate Energy; as a trustee of the Center for Naval Analysis; on the advisory board of the Penn State Applied Research Laboratory; as a distinguished fellow at the Atlantic Council; as a senior fellow at the National Defense University; and as a senior fellow at Florida International University.
Faller received a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and a master’s degree in national security affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School. He is a nuclear trained surface warfare officer.
