Since joining NNS in 2004 as a structural engineer in the Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) program, Malyszko has served in various positions of increasing responsibility in Nuclear Propulsion-Construction and Process Engineering, Nuclear Propulsion Test Engineering, Radiological Controls, and the company’s Emergency Response Organization. She has experience with radiological work on every program and across the shipyard, and leads with a strong focus on continuous learning and process improvement. Prior to her current appointment, Malyszko served as vice president of Plant Operations.

Malyszko holds an engineering science and mechanics degree from Virginia Tech and a master’s degree in engineering management from Old Dominion University.

In the community, Malyszko is a strong advocate for women and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs. She is a founding member of Girls with Engineering Minds in Shipbuilding (GEMS), a collaboration between local schools and NNS leaders committed to the future, and serves on the Science Museum of Virginia’s board of trustees and the board for Old Dominion University’s Women’s Initiative Network.
