Jason Brown is Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at HII, the nation’s largest military shipbuilder and global defense technologies provider. He is also the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Ingalls Shipbuilding, a division of HII, located in Pascagoula, MS.
As HII’s CISO, Jason leads all aspects of the company’s information security program including security strategies, risk management, incident response, and ensuring regulatory compliance. As Ingalls’ CIO, he is accountable for the delivery of all technology solutions to enable the division’s operational priorities and strategic objectives.
Jason has held positions of increasing responsibility during his more than 25 years of experience with HII, including vice president and CIO at Ingalls IT, director of Ingalls IT, and leadership positions in business management. He has led major technology and security initiatives — from modernizing IT systems and retiring legacy platforms to advancing our cyber capabilities and securing key strategic wins for the company.
Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Old Dominion University and an MBA from the University of Southern Mississippi.
