PASCAGOULA, Miss., July 1, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE:HII) opened the doors to its first Family Health Center today. The facility, located at 2105 Old Spanish Trail in Gautier, is now open to all eligible employees at HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding division and their covered dependents.
“Our workforce is the heart of the shipyard, and helping our employees stay healthy is very important to our continued success,” said Ingalls Shipbuilding President Brian Cuccias. “This facility shows our commitment to provide excellent healthcare and wellness options for our employees and their families.”
A visit to the health center is only $15, and all preventive care visits are free. Employees also have access to the on-site pharmacy, where they can receive a generic 30-day prescription for $3 or a 90-day supply for $6. The health center will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.
The Family Health Center in Mississippi is one of two new centers opening for HII employees. A second health center is being built at HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding division in Virginia. The centers are part of HII’s larger benefits strategy designed to engage employees and their families in their own health and wellness and make quality healthcare more accessible.
