Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, will be hiring hundreds of entry-level (Engineer 1) positions this year to support work in its Engineering and Design (E&D) and Nuclear Propulsion (NPD) divisions.

HII offers summer internship opportunities with the HII Corporate office and all three divisions. These are paid summer internships with students working full-time (40 hours a week) for 10 consecutive weeks. Many of our summer interns transition into Co-ops or accept full-time offers starting after they graduate. HII begins accepting applications for summer internships each Fall.
