NEWPORT NEWS, Va., Sept. 05, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) announced today that its Technical Solutions division is one of 16 companies awarded a contract by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) to provide a wide range of analytic and operational support services. The multi-award contract has a base period of five years and a potential value of $17 billion.

In addition to the DIA, HII currently supports the intelligence requirements of the Joint Improvised-Threat Defeat Organization (JIDO), U.S. Forces Korea, U.S. Special Operations Command, U.S. Air Forces-Europe, U.S. European Command, U.S. Central Command and the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command. HII provides contractor-owned, contractor-operated manned and unmanned airborne intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance to the Department of Defense.
The contract was directly awarded to Fulcrum IT Services, LLC, a company acquired by HII on Feb. 25, 2019.
