Chris Soong

Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Soong previously served as chief information officer for HII’s Mission Technologies division and senior vice president and chief information officer at Alion Science and Technology. He also held executive-level positions at Booz Allen Hamilton and Sprint, where he served on the merger integration team of Sprint and Nextel, a two-year, $35 billion acquisition.

Soong holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech. He has a Leadership Certificate from the University of Maryland and participated in the CIO Institute at the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Soong received the 2023 WashingtonExec’s Chief Officer Award for Chief Information Officers, Corporate “CIO of the Year” ORBIE award in 2020 and has been recognized as “Ones to Watch” by CIO Magazine and “Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business” by Asian American Business Development Center. He founded the Washington, D.C. chapter of the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) and served as president. He volunteers with Lungevity, the National Capital Area chapter of the March of Dimes and the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN). He also volunteers as a mentor for the Technology Management Program at Columbia University and as an Alumni Board member to the Departments of Civil Engineering and Business Information Technology at Virginia Tech.
