Brian Teer is the acting president of LVC Solutions in HII’s Mission Technologies division. Named to this position in June 2024, he is responsible for all aspects of the business group’s daily operations, including the strategic growth and expansion of HII’s integrated LVC training solutions to an extended customer set within the Department of Defense.

Teer has more than 30 years of managerial, technical leadership, and software and systems engineering experience in multiple industries, including modeling and simulation-based training systems, range operations, aerospace, and telecommunications.

He served most recently as vice president of operations, managing the Advanced Modeling and Simulation Training Operation (AMSTO) and serving as deputy manager of LVC Solutions. Named to this position in 2021, he was responsible for all aspects of daily operations, leading more than 700 employees. He also assisted with the strategic growth and expansion of HII’s integrated LVC training solutions to an extended customer set within the Department of Defense.

In addition to more than 15 years with our organization, Teer served as program manager of special programs at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems and solutions manager at Securboration. He also has software engineering experience at a number of global firms.

Teer earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in computer science—both from North Carolina State University.
