WHAT TO DO BEFORE ORIENTATION
- Complete new hire paperwork that will be e-mailed to you prior to your start date immediately after it is received. If this paperwork is not completed you will NOT be able to start work.
WHEN & WHERE
Your paid orientation starts promptly at 7:30 a.m. To support social distancing, please arrive no more than 15 minutes early to check-in.
7:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. (After 1 p.m. you will meet with your supervisor or a team member from your department until 4 p.m.)
Orientation is located at:
- Netcenter (Zone 3, Suite #176)
5200 West Mercury Blvd.
Hampton, VA 23605
Parking is available, but please do not park in any reserved spaces.
WHAT TO BRING
- Valid photo I.D.
- Personal phones are allowed, but taking pictures or video on company property is strictly prohibited and not allowed. This includes video calls such as FaceTime, Google Duo, Skype, etc.
- Your own lunch (the facility does not have a kitchen or microwave available)
- The dress code is long pants covering your ankles, a shirt with sleeves that come down at least two inches from your shoulders and closed-toe shoes. Newport News Shipbuilding is an industrial work setting.
