The senior materiel leader of the U.S. Air Force’s Advanced Training Capabilities Division thanked HII Mission Technologies for its annual technology demo day event on Aug. 28 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.

“My sincere thanks to HII for executing a successful tech demo day event at our Innovation Cell,” Col. Ricardo Jaime said after the event. “They highlighted several network capabilities, software applications, integration tools and tech solutions that are applicable to the future of U.S. Air Force enterprise training capabilities.”

Mike Aldinger, vice president of business development at Mission Technologies, kicked off the event by thanking senior leadership at the Advanced Training Capabilities Division for their ongoing support.

“Some of the topics we’re presenting today are based around requests we received from Col. Matt Ryan,” he said. “I want to thank him for his support during the past few years to help energize this effort — and also Col. Jaime for continuing that support for this event.”

Aldinger noted that Mission Technologies is an enterprise solutions provider and highlighted “the broad applicability of the existing and evolving GOTS solutions to benefit both the U.S. Air Force and joint training in the LVC, DMO and JSE training domains.”

John Bell, Mission Technologies chief technology officer, also attended and gave an overview of the division’s high-tech solutions.

“You’re going to see a lot today in terms of technology demonstrations that are focused primarily on the work that we are doing for the Air Force in training, modeling and simulation,” he said. “But you will also see demonstrations of our big data platform and of some customized Al tools that we build, called FortisAl. I think we'll be able to give you a broad range of technologies that may be of interest.”

In addition to FortisAI, highlighted technologies included:

  • Distributed Mission Operations, Joint Simulation Environment and High-Performance Interoperability Gateway

  • LVC training at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center Nellis and the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck Activity

  • Enlighten’s support of the ELICSAR cyber ecosystem

  • JBUS interoperability tools

  • Live Missions Operations Network and range solutions

  • 3D printing applications for training
