As Vice President of Central Planning & Process Excellence, Premo is responsible for all planning, scheduling and process improvement activities at Ingalls Shipbuilding.
After joining Ingalls in 1986 as a planner for the USS Spruance (DD 963) overhaul, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in both Central Planning and Program
Management organizations, including director of Planning & Scheduling and deputy program manager for USS America (LHA 6).
Prior to his current position, Premo served as program manager for the LHA class, where he oversaw the successful accomplishment of programs with formal authority. Additionally, he held responsibility for planning and controlling program cost, schedule and technical performance, and for ensuring contract requirements were fulfilled.
He has also represented Ingalls, working directly with the customer and ensuring successful integration and coordination of all functional processes needed to execute the contract.
Premo dedicates his time to several organizations along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. In addition to supporting Ingalls Day of Caring activities, United Way and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Premo has chaired the Jackson County Heart Walk, served on the executive leadership’s Breast Cancer Awareness Team, and helped lead fundraising efforts across Ingalls.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The University of Southern Mississippi and a Master of Business Administration in Operations Management from American Intercontinental University.
