What: HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding division will host the christening ceremony for the future USS
Jeremiah Denton (DDG 129), the third Flight III Arleigh Burke-class destroyer to be built at the shipyard, on Sat., June 28.

Jeremiah Denton (DDG 129) Christening - HII. Media members are invited to the christening event and to participate in a media preview day on Fri., June 27.
Who: The media preview day on Fri., June 27 will include the mast-stepping ceremony and a visit to the christening site for interviews with family members of the ship namesake and Ingalls leadership. Media interviews will also be available with the ship co-sponsors and daughters of the namesake, Madeleine Denton Doak and Mary Denton Lewis following the christening ceremony.

Media Preview Day
- Friday, June 27
- Media check-in: 8:30 a.m., Event begins at 9:00 a.m.
Christening Ceremony
- Saturday, June 28
- Media check-in: 8:15 a.m., Event begins at 9:00 a.m.
Where: Media will park at the Ingalls Shipbuilding Human Resource Building (1000 Jerry St. Pé HWY, Pascagoula, MS 39567) both days and will be transported by van to and from the event sites.
Directions to parking: Once on Jerry St. Pé HWY, take a left at the first light you come to. Follow the road to the parking lot for the Ingalls Human Resource Building. Media will park in the visitor spaces on the side of the HR building for both media preview day and the ceremony day.
