Sheet Metal Workers
Shaping the Fleet
As a sheet metal worker, you’ll fabricate, assemble and install a wide variety of components – including ventilation systems, metal joiner bulkheads, framing, furniture, cabinetry, lockers, ladders, handrails, foundations and weapons spaces. These shipbuilders use a variety of hand tools and power equipment.
There are openings for experienced and entry-level sheet metal workers. If you don’t have experience, we’ll train you!
What You'll Do
Use hand tools and power equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
Collaborate with other trades to complete projects.
Help build the most powerful naval ships in the world.
